Cote d'Ivoire: the war is over! ... for real this time (I think)

Here's the story from the BBC ...
The president of Ivory Coast has said rebels in the north of the country will begin disarming later this month.

After talks with army chiefs, rebels and foreign monitors, Laurent Gbagbo said weapons will be "put back into storage" from 15 December.

... Mr Gbagbo said the details of the disarmament would be worked out at a meeting on 10 December in the rebel stronghold of Bouake.

He said he would go to Bouake later this month and announce an official end to the war. (link)
