South Africa: largest collection of African literature finds new home

One of the most important collections of African Literature has found a new home at the University of Natal. The 13,000 books will form the cornerstone (not literally) of the university's new Centre for African Literary Studies.

The Lindfors Collection is named for Professor Bernth Lindfors, of the University of Austin in Texas, who spent over 40 years putting the collection together.
